I think the hype had everything to do with an attempt to get healthcare to pass quickly with less intense scrutiny than it might normally get..."see, we NEED healthcare reform because the whole world is going to get sick any minute!" Also believe (and am so, so disappointed by it) that this administration is deeply in the pockets of big pharma. Scary!

You clearly don't understand the very concept of a vaccine. Vaccines are totally incapable of making a sick person better. Vaccines (in theory, when not contaminated, etc.) take a healthy person and allows them to build up an immunity to a *potential* illness. If you already have the flu, you can't get a vaccine for it.

Vaccines are usually include mercury and other neurotoxins. I can't possibly recommend them to anyone. Build up your immune system (sleep well, drink water, eat unprocessed foods) and you'll beat almost anything that attacks your body, no problem.

I had swine flu, y husband had it, heck, almost everyone I know had it and we did not take any vaccine or special medication and got over it.

Is it not possible that the mobilization, vaccination, and education campaigns on cleanliness and reducing transmission of diseases caused the public actually be less prone to getting sick? I think the question should be...Did all the fuss cause the public to stay safe and avoid infection and death, or did the vaccines and "scare" campaigns do nothing and potentially cause harm? The article is obviously in favor of the idea that pharmaceutical companies cashed in on the scare because it is controversial, and makes headlines. But it doesn't address or pose a non-biased question to get to the truth. It could be either, but taking one position and then trying to find evidence to fit your position isn't science...it is nonsense.
